REVNAK YENGI

His talent for music was noticed at an early age within his family, which has a deep-rooted tradition and culture in music. Particularly encouraged by his father, a professional accordionist, and close relatives, he received support for his passion for music and formal education.

He commenced his musical journey with solfeggio and harmony lessons under the guidance of composer and orchestra conductor Timur Selçuk. He also studied Classical Guitar with Gökçen Taşkıran.

Continuing his studies at the Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory, he graduated from the Composition Department under the mentorship of Azeri composer Prof. Emin Sabitoğlu. Subsequently, he completed his master's degree and continued his work in composition with composer and academician Turgay Erdener, earning his Ph.D. title. In 2018, he became an associate professor in the field of composition, followed by obtaining the title of professor in 2023.

Initiating his conducting studies in 2016 with conductor, violinist, and academician Hakan Şensoy, he furthered his work in Amsterdam with orchestra conductor and academician Prof. Arjan Tien, encouraged by Hakan Şensoy. Since 2021, he has taken on the role of conductor for the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Orchestra, established under the auspices of the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, and continues to lead the orchestra. Today, he serves as the head of the "Music Department" and the "Orchestra Conducting and Composition Department" at Kocaeli University State Conservatory. Since 2016, he has been conducting and art director of the DK Chamber Orchestra and Choir established within the Conservatory.

In 2023, he conducted and published his composition titled 'Insect Dances' for the string orchestra.
